If you read newsletters, you surely know Morning Brew and The Hustle, and while those are great (I read them myself), there's a world of niche newsletters out there that you may or may not have heard of, and are 100% worth subscribing to.

So unlike recipe blogs that give you the entire backstory of the honey garlic air fried chicken recipe and make you scroll for 30 seconds before giving you the ACTUAL recipe, I’ll save you the blabber and dive right into the goods.

Let’s start:

Wolf of Franchises

A 2x weekly newsletter that covers franchises, the hottest emerging brands, and how to “build your empire”. They have amazing franchise deep dives and the latest opportunities in the space. The newsletter is written in an easily digestible lighthearted manner - but still gives you informative ideas and real-life value.

The Bear Cave

A weekly newsletter, The Bear Cave provides analysis, commentary, and curated links on the short world. A free newsletter that summarizes new activist short campaigns, identifies notable resignations and highlights interesting tweets.

CPGD

The Consumer Packaged Goods Directory curates resources and content for brand-builders. If you want to know the latest in the consumer goods category from acquisitions to new product launches and everything in between, this is the spot. Not only is it well written, but both the graphics and layout are some of my favorite aesthetics of any newsletter I currently read.

Newsletter Operator

A newsletter about newsletters? Yes indeed! Matt McGarry “spills the beans” on how one can grow and monetize your newsletter. If you have a newsletter or are thinking of starting one, this is a must-subscribe for you.

The Woof

A relatively new, but well-written and engaging weekly newsletter (every Tuesday) that launched in mid-2023. A fast-growing pet industry newsletter that covers all the latest in the pet space. Think of it as Morning Brew for the pet industry. If you love pets (who doesn’t?) and/or are interested in the space — this is the one for you! (Full transparency this is my newsletter)

Huddle Up

A 3x weekly newsletter that breaks down the business and money behind sports. Huddle Up has become a go-to resource for more than 120,000 people. This newsletter covers a bit of everything. From endorsement deals to franchise valuations, current business events, media rights, and deep dives into industry financial stories.

Fitt Insider

This weekly newsletter explores the trends shaping the future of fitness and wellness. It is a newsletter, podcast, and early-stage investment fund. If you are interested in starting a business in the wellness space or just want to brush up on the latest in the industry this is the newsletter for you.

The Publish Press

A 3x weekly newsletter with the latest creator news. This is a very well-written and curated newsletter. It's packed with info on your favorite creators and really deep dives into the space with advice, information, and all the latest news and happenings in the ever-evolving and constantly changing “creator economy.”

CFO Secrets

A former CFO of multibillion-dollar businesses. The Secret CFO (whoever he is) shares his learnings once a week. Sharing finance experience from the trenches. I love this newsletter as it is written by someone with deep vertical experience in their category. Which is exactly why I love niche newsletters!

Why We Buy

The psychology behind why we buy. If you want to understand the psychology behind why people buy or click a button or make this or that decision this is your go-to newsletter. If you are a marketer (let's face it, we all are) you need to read this to not only understand your customers but also for “how to’s” on sharing valuable content and retaining customer attention in this “attention economy”.

The Storm Skiing Journal and Podcast

Delving into the evolving landscape of skiing multipasses, ski area consolidation, lifts, and infrastructure — from the expansive realms of Vail and Alterra to family-run slopes in the Catskills and quaint town rope tows. Explore how the individuals managing these mountains shape diverse and captivating skiing experiences. A refreshing read!

Just Go Grind

Well-researched founder deep dives. Justin Gordon writes deep dives and shares the stories of the world's most prolific founders. From Daniel Elk to Jay-Z to Estee Lauder. Justin does hours of research to bring you the best in-depth profiles of people you have heard of, but may have never known their story — and some who you have definitely not heard of but should.

If you are an entrepreneur wanting to learn business/life lessons from some of the best to ever do it, this is the newsletter for you!
